Privacy/Refund Policy


We take your right to privacy seriously and want you to feel comfortable using our web site. This Privacy Policy deals with personally identifiable information (referred to as "Data" below) that may be collected by us on our site. This Policy does not apply to other entities that we do not own or control or persons that are not our employees, agents or within our control. Please take time to read this policy in its entirety. and Community West Foundation respects the privacy of its donors, constituents and all web site visitors.

Information Collected by collects two types of information from users: personal data such as zip code, name and address (for event registration); and aggregated data such as information about traffic patterns on (for example, how many users visit on a daily basis).

Our event registration process requires a name, address and event selection.  Providing us with other information is at your option; we are not responsible for information collection via online donations through our 3rd party payment partners. Please review their privacy policies carefully.

Like many web sites, we may also automatically receive general information that is contained in our server log files such as your IP address and cookie information. Like most standard Web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s computer tied to information about the user.  Like many web sites, we may set and use cookies to enhance your user experience, such as retaining settings

Community West Foundation assigns every computer a different Cookie. The information collected by Cookies:
(i) helps us to statistically monitor how many people are using our website
(ii) for what purposes these actions are being taken

We may use information collected on the web site to customize and improve your user experience on this site.

Though makes every effort to preserve donor and customer privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our organization.

Except as set forth in this Privacy Policy or as specifically agreed to by you, Community West Foundation will not disclose any Personally Identifiable Information it gathers from you on our website.

This Privacy Policy does not protect you when you send content, or requests to by email. If you want to keep them private or proprietary, do not send them in an email to  We try to answer every email promptly, but are not always able to do so.

No guarantees
While this Privacy Policy states our standards for maintenance of information and we will make efforts to meet them, we are not in a position to guarantee these standards. There may be factors beyond our control that may result in disclosure of data. As a consequence, we disclaim any warranties or representations relating to maintenance or nondisclosure of Information.

Community West Foundation generally does not refund donations made using the website. We will honor your request for a refund only under special circumstances if you have made an error in making your donation to Community West Foundation. The request must be made within 15 days of your donation, and no refunds are given for gambling related purchases such as raffle tickets.

To request a refund, call an Officer of the Foundation at (440) 360-7370. Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card.
