Why Common Threads?
Common Threads has the resources to accept donations on our behalf and house them until they are delivered to those who are homeless through the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless (NEOCH). Have items not on the Socks+ list that you want to donate? No problem! Common Threads will also accept your donations of clothing, furniture, household goods, toys and more–many items that Socks+ could not previously accept.

Why Good Neighbor Thrift Shop?
Good Neighbor Thrift Shop is a nonprofit resale shop that is a ministry of Avon Lake UnitedChurch of Christ. Their work to help those in need aligns perfectly with the Socks+initiative. Plus, they have the capacity to accept collected items in their storefront. With the help of Neighborhood Alliance and the Lorain County Taskforce for the Homeless, theitems will be distributed directly to people in Lorain County experiencing homelessness.
