[Westlake, Ohio] – Community West Foundation has awarded more than $1.5 million in second-quarter grants to nonprofit organizations across Cleveland, western Cuyahoga County, and Lorain County—marking the largest quarterly grantmaking total in the Foundation’s history. The funding supports critical work in housing stability, homelessness prevention, and reentry services.

This record-setting investment reflects a continued commitment to addressing some of the region’s most urgent challenges, including helping individuals and families secure safe housing while supporting those transitioning from incarceration to build stable, independent lives.

“Stable housing is foundational to health, opportunity, and dignity,” said Marty Uhle, President & CEO of Community West Foundation. “This milestone quarter reflects our deepened commitment to investing in organizations that meet people where they are and help them take meaningful steps toward long-term stability.”

The total includes $1,235,000 approved by the Foundation’s Board of Directors and an additional $280,300 distributed through the Community Impact Fund, a collaborative giving initiative that allows donors to respond directly to pressing community needs. Every dollar contributed to the Community Impact Fund is granted to nonprofit partners.

Through these grants, Community West Foundation continues to partner with organizations delivering both immediate relief and long-term solutions, from emergency shelter and supportive housing to workforce development and reentry programming.
