Located in downtown Cleveland, Old Stone Church occupies the oldest building on Public Square and has played a pivotal role in Cleveland’s ongoing evolution. Their mission is Loving Christ, Serving City – spiritually, culturally, socially – since 1820.
"The congregation of Old Stone Church has been very proud to be the home of "When I Was Hungry & Thirsty" by Timothy Schmalz since 2018. The beautiful sculpture that is promptly displayed on our front steps helps bring to light our mission of helping those that need a helping hand in the heart of Downtown Cleveland. Old Stone Church is very proud to be apart of the Matthew 25 city-wide project to bring the other four sculptures to our beautiful city." - Rev. Dr. Andrew McDonald - Interim Senior Pastor, Old Stone Church.
When I Was Hungry and Thirsty portrays the desperation and hopelessness that those who are starving experience.
