When new families move into The Homes at Hope Commons, a project by Building Hope in the City, Pat Miller wanted them to feel more than just settled—she wanted them to feel truly welcomed. Pat, the wife of Community West Foundation Board Member George Miller, poured her heart into handmaking 14 beautiful quilts, one for each family in residence.
Each quilt represents hours of care, creativity, and love stitched together with the hope that these families would feel comforted and at home in their new space. This incredible act of kindness is more than just a gift of warmth—it is a reminder that they are part of a community that surrounds them with compassion and support.
We are deeply grateful to Pat for sharing her talent and her heart in such a meaningful way. Her quilts will no doubt be treasured by the families as they begin this new chapter.
