Each year, nearly 1,000 young people in Ohio’s foster care system “age out” and face daunting challenges, including a higher likelihood of homelessness, unemployment, and food insecurity. While child welfare agencies are stepping up to address these gaps, there is still much work to be done.
In October, Community West Foundation hosted a forum to shine a spotlight on this critical issue. The event featured insights from local leaders on how we can strategically collaborate with agencies and institutions to create better outcomes for these young individuals and their families.
