The Helping Hands of the Salvation Army

Since its earliest beginnings, The Salvation Army has been about helping people in need. Today, this tradition lives on as the agency continues sharing the gifts that have the power to change lives – helping to meet the physical and spiritual needs of those who are hungry and need shelter.

Community West Foundation provided $35,000 for the second year to the Salvation Army for its Emergency Assistance Social Services Program. Through this program, individuals and families can receive a wide range of services in the form of financial assistance, crisis counseling, spiritual support and food and nutrition programs. The Salvation Army served more than 1,250,000 meals and provided hunger relief and case management to nearly 100,000 Clevelanders last year.
