Spring for Hope
Thursday, April 12, 2018
Don Umerley Civic Center, Rocky River
This event is dedicated to providing awareness and funding for the most precious of our community, children with autism, as well as showcasing the brand new Center for Autism on the west side.
As we discover the causes, intervention and treatments of autism, early intervention using applied behavior analysis (ABA) has proven to be most effective. Insurance coverage for ABA therapy has increased in Ohio but there are still significant out-of-pocket costs for families, even if they have coverage. We as a committee are dedicated to making a family assistance program available to children and their families who would have had limited or no treatment at all.
Funds from this year’s Spring for Hope will continue to assist families by providing therapy scholarships and contributing to co-payments which can become costly as most children benefit from multiple sessions per week.
Additional sponsorship opportunities are available by contacting the Community West Foundation at 440-360-7354.
