Dr. Ted and Jean Castele
The Community West Foundation honored a very special couple, Dr. Ted and Jean Castele, with the 2007 Art of Caring Award at the annual Legacy Society Dinner. The celebration brought together Castele family members, friends, and colleagues in admiration of the couple.
To honor the philanthropists who receive the award, local artists are commissioned to create unique artworks inspired by the generosity of the patrons. This year, artist Bruce Buchanan created a stained glass masterpiece that captured Dr. Ted and Jean Castele’s dedication and devotion to the foundation, hospitals, and numerous charities in our community. Each facet of the stained glass window conveys an important part of the Casteles’ life and legacy.
Giving back to their community has been a high priority in the Casteles’ lives. As dedicated philanthropists and hands-on volunteers, their generosity has helped to advance the missions of a wide variety of organizations – and they have touched the entire community.
Bringing a warm smile and helping hand have been the constant gifts of Dr. Ted and Jean to the many organizations they have touched. The Casteles’ faithful service, assistance to others, and generosity are truly a blessing to the greater Cleveland community.
