Community West Foundation was honored to participate in the 7th Annual Founder’s Day hosted by Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry, a meaningful gathering that celebrated legacy, impact, and the promise of the future. The event paid tribute to the vision and leadership of Rev. Richard Sering, whose commitment to serving others laid the foundation for an organization that continues to transform lives across Northeast Ohio.

Representing Community West Foundation, President and CEO Marty Uhle joined fellow community leaders as a panelist for this year’s program. The theme, Building on the Foundation: Framing Our Future, encouraged thoughtful conversation about the importance of collaboration, shared purpose, and community-centered leadership. Panelists reflected on the collective responsibility of nonprofit, civic, and philanthropic partners to build stronger systems of support and opportunity for all.

Founder’s Day served as both a moment of reflection and a call to action—highlighting Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry’s enduring impact while inspiring continued progress. Events like this underscore the vital role partnerships play in advancing compassionate, community-driven solutions. Community West Foundation is proud to support Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry.
