Putting an End to Domestic Violence and Child Abuse
The Domestic Violence Center and Bellflower Center for Prevention of Child Abuse recently merged to become The Domestic Violence and Child Advocacy Center. This union created a place of new beginnings for the women and children in need of safety and compassion, and a better way to serve all victims of domestic violence.
Community West Foundation provided a $30,000 grant for general operating expenses at their emergency shelter. In 2012, the center provided 14,579 days of residential care for 354 women and children and over 74,000 meals, and the supportive services to help these women and children recover and begin life anew.
