It’s a green thumbs up for Community West Foundation, recently honored with the 2011 Illuminating Hope Award from Lakewood Community Services Center.
 
The award was presented to David T. Dombrowiak, President and CEO, Community West Foundation, at the ‘Got Green? Earth to Table’ celebration held at Madison Park in the Community Garden, one of Lakewood’s many neighborhood gems.
 
In his remarks, Chas D. Withers, President, Lakewood Community Services Center said, “Illuminating Hope – that is the best way to describe what Community West Foundation does. Not only does Community West Foundation support you financially – you feel like you have someone who is really in your corner pulling for you.”
 
The event marked the 29th anniversary of Lakewood Community Services Center’s role in providing vital support to neighbors in need. Lakewood Community Services Center is a grateful recipient of Community West Foundation’s support.
 
Guests enjoyed a fabulous fresh-from-the-garden menu created by noted Chefs Jonathon Sawyer and Chris Hodgson. Local blues musician Kristine Jackson took the stage and provided an unforgettable evening of entertainment.
